East of Lyon in the foothills of the Monts du Lyonnais, this château spans four centuries of Rhône Valley architecture, original Gothic gatehouse and fortifications dating to the fourteenth century, Renaissance additions including a chapel and mullioned windows, later wings accommodating modern services. The domain holds one hundred to two hundred guests and frames itself against the Chaîne de la Chartreuse mountains, with walks through parkland intersecting formal parterres and old-growth linden alleys. Architectural layering reflects sequential historical occupation.
